First Aid at Work Refresher is a two-day re-qualification course designed for qualified workplace first aiders who need to renew their certification and update their practical skills. Through hands-on training and realistic workplace scenarios, delegates revisit essential first aid techniques, reinforce current best practice, and build the confidence needed to respond effectively to a wide range of workplace emergencies.

• The roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider

• How to assess emergency situations and prioritise treatment

• Adult CPR techniques and current best practice

• Safe and effective use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

• Recovery position and management of unconscious casualties

• Recognition and treatment of choking incidents

• Managing severe bleeding, shock, burns, and scalds

• Responding to heart attacks, strokes, asthma attacks, anaphylaxis, diabetes, and epilepsy

• Treatment of fractures, sprains, soft tissue, head, neck, and spinal injuries

• Incident reporting, casualty management, and practical emergency scenarios

Course Format

Delivered in person over two days, this re-qualification course combines classroom learning with practical demonstrations and realistic workplace scenarios. Delegates are continuously assessed throughout the course while refreshing essential lifesaving skills under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Certification

Delegates who successfully complete the course receive a nationally recognised Level 3 First Aid at Work Requalification Certificate, valid for three years.
